Dear Colleagues:
I am excited to see everyone in person at our annual conference! From the responses we have seen, you are just as excited! As your president and fellow risk management professional, I want to ensure you that PARMA is monitoring the local, state, and federal guidelines as it pertains to the pandemic. In addition, we are working closely with Disney to ensure your health and safety at our conference.
As of this writing, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requires the following for indoor events of our size:
Attendees must provide proof that they:
- Are fully vaccinated, or
- Have received a negative COVID-19 test.
If you provide test results for entry, the test must have been conducted in the last:
- 1 day for an antigen test, or
- 2 days for a PCR test.
Attendees cannot self-attest to verify vaccination status or a negative test result.
Attendees must provide identification at indoor mega-events. Your identification must confirm you are the person:
- Presenting proof of vaccination status or negative test result, and
- Entering the venue.
What is PARMA doing to ensure compliance?
Upon arrival at the Disneyland Hotel each attendee will submit identification, their vaccination record, or submit to an antigen test to a Hoag healthcare professional.
For those that need to test, PARMA has coordinated with Disney and Hoag to provide on-site testing. Those that need to test will be charged $60. Home tests are not accepted per the CDPH.
Hand Sanitizer Stations
Not only will you find hand sanitizer stations provided by PARMA/Sponsors, but Disney also has stations throughout their hotels and parks.
Masks
Everyone must wear a mask at indoor mega-events. Your vaccination status or negative test result does not matter.
PARMA is strongly encouraging ALL attendees to wear either N95 or KN95 masks.
Name Badges
PARMA will have color coded ribbons available to attendees to attach to your badge. The ribbons will be as follows:
Red – Six Feet, Please
Yellow – Fist Bumps
Green – I Shake Hands
Social Distancing
Wherever possible, although all attendees will be wearing masks, PARMA will allow for additional space in meeting rooms and functions.
In the event you have questions, please contact the PARMA office. They are working diligently to help mitigate the risk at our conference.
We look forward to seeing you at the Disneyland Hotel.
Karen Bianchini, PARMA President
