Job Description

Under the direct supervision of Finance Manager, the Accountant II responsibilities include: preparing, processing, and reviewing AP and AR, invoices and other financial records; supporting the audit process by providing necessary documentation and information; performing general accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and recording revenues; recording journal entries; assisting with budgeting activities; organizing and filing financial records; maintaining financial records and ensure they are tracked and archived appropriately; maintaining and reconciling fixed asset function; assisting the building operations and general office management; providing administrative support to the Finance Department.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field and one to three years of experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Public agency accounting experience is preferred.

Job Requirements

• Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel;
• Ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously;
• Ability to work with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and good public relations with other employees, agencies, members, and the public;
