Job Description

The Department of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting for a Public Health Supervising Dietitian* who supervise the operations of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program, and/or Nutrition and Wellness Services. Program placement is based upon department discretion, and contingent upon organizational/staffing coverage needs. Duties include planning, coordinating, and implementing community nutrition programs; supervising dietitians and other program staff in assigned region; developing contracts or Memorandums of Understanding; assists Program Managers and Coordinators in developing budget and policy and procedure manual; responding to facility/equipment needs and requests; and monitoring site activities to assure efficiency of participants flow. The current vacancy exists with the Women, Infant, and Children Program (WIC). The list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur. Job Requirements

Applicants must possess both of the following registration and experience requirements: Registration: Possess and maintain current registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration -AND- Experience: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as a Registered Dietitian in a health clinic, hospital, or doctor's office, which involves counseling patients/participants on a variety of nutrition topics. Experience must include one (1) year in a lead or supervisory dietitian role.
