The Senior IT Specialist is primarily responsible for the development and developer support of PRISM’s Proprietary Claim System, Spectra.  In addition, the role provides technical support for the existing claim systems for both internal and external customers.  This position will participate in full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to development, testing, and deployment, with a strong focus on system optimization and problem-solving. The entire team adheres to the Agile with Scrum framework.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive functional and technical requirements for various projects.
Using the Agile methodology, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable solutions using a diverse set of technologies, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
Perform in-depth troubleshooting and debugging of complex applications and systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective resolutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing applications, processes, and reporting capabilities.
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including planning, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and team members as needed.
Work effectively within a highly collaborative team environment, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication.

Job Requirements

Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Information System, Business Administration, or a related field and two or more years of experience in claims system software implementation or project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Qualified candidates will have:

An understanding of the software development lifecycle
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
Experience with SQL Server database administration and development
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills

The ideal candidate will also possess the following preferred qualifications:
A strong understanding of claims management systems, software implementation strategies, and data conversion techniques.
Experience working with claims system users and public entities. 
Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective solutions. 

Physical Requirements
Physical requirements of this position typically include:  reaching, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move.  Some travel may be required.
