Ardee has an opening for a claims examiner for Golden State Risk Management Authority (gsrma.org) and Northern California Special Districts Insurance Authority (ncsdia.com).
We are looking for an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to join our Claims team. In this role, you’ll manage California public entity WC claims from initial filing through resolution, ensuring timely, accurate handling aligned with best practices and state regulations.
What you’ll do:
• Review, analyze, and adjust WC claims from start to finish
• Communicate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and attorneys
• Ensure compliance with California DWC requirements and timely benefit payments
• Set and maintain claim reserves and approve bills per fee schedules
• Support litigation strategy and collaborate with legal counsel
• Maintain clear, complete documentation in the claims management system
What we’re looking for:
• 3–5 years of Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience
• Adjuster certification (Title 10 CCR 2592) or CA self-insurance certificate
• Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Valid California driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Bonus: Labor Code 4850 and/or public agency/pool experience
