Job Description

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: • Proven ability to meet industry claims administration standards and timeframes • Administers claims per the California Workers’ Compensation laws • Maintains diary and mail to be current • Adheres to client excess reporting and requests in a timely manner • Prepares Plan of Action towards closure on every open claim • Handles litigated files, when applicable • Manages subrogation aspects of a claim • Builds and maintains working relationship with client • Completes and attends claim (file) reviews as required Knowledge and Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong workers’ compensation claims handling/technical skills • Excellent customer service skills • Time management skills • Strong analytical skills • Detail oriented • Great attitude and resilience • Works well independently and strong team player

Job Requirements

• Must have a State of California Self-Insurance Administrator’s Certificate • Must possess proven organizational and time management skills with attention to detail • Minimum of 3 years of indemnity adjusting experience with indemnity/litigated caseload of at least 150 claims • LC 4850 experience • College degree preferred • WCCA and WCCP designations preferred • Stable employment history
