He helped develop multiple emergency management/active shooter/security products for Keenan schools and colleges statewide. He also trained all the school sites on the Fort Irwin military base after honorably retiring as a police officer from the Lubbock Police Department in Texas. He has extensive training on active shooter response and preparedness and has a B.A. from the University of La Verne. 10:15‐10:45 AM Break and Networking 10:45 am‐12:00 PM Building Cyber Silence Presenter: Deron T. Mc Elroy Deron McElroy is Chief of Operations‐ Western United States for the DHS Cybersecurity Advisor Program. He is focused on building partnerships to enhance our Nation's cyber resilience. Deron is available to help organizations navigate and access the Critical Infrastructure Cyber Community (CÑ) Voluntary Program and NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Previously, he served as the first DHS Cybersecurity Advisor stationed West of the Mississippi, and as Senior Strategist for the DHS Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C).
