This topic will cover the much-needed importance of proper indemnity language to protect your public entity. Marjorie acts as a risk and insurance consultant with more than thirty -five years of experience in this field. She provides a wide variety of risk and insurance consulting services to commercial enterprises, insurance agents, brokers as well as insurance companies, public entities and risk-sharing pools. Marjorie has conducted hundreds of technical seminars on insurance and risk across the US and Canada for a variety of organizations.

This new law, effective 1/1/2019, was created as a result of the October 1, 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this session we will learn how employers may be dealing with certain peace officers injured out state while performing defined law enforcement duties and eligible to received workers’ compensation benefits.
