Job Description

The Member Services Technician supports the Member Services and Risk Control departments with content updates and maintenance of internal and external communications. This includes but is not limited to: Elink, Coming Soon, Risk Simplifieds, marketing materials (both print and online), meeting presentation creation, and the PRISM Message Board.

Primary duties include:

Review existing and future marketing efforts and contemplate how to best display our products and services;
Assist the Communications Specialist with productions and related content for projects such as Coming Soon, meetings, and other PRISM communications;
Create content for public entity member meetings;
Work with AI-driven design tools to create engaging visuals and content that help communicate with members effectively.
Create content for organization wide meetings, including: PRISM Orientation, Public Entity Annual meeting, and the Board of Directors meetings;
Assist the Communication Specialist with website content management
Manage website Toolbox content
QC incoming documents/resources
Post documents to the website
Confirm reference/resource links are current & active
Work with content producer(s) to ensure content is accurate & current
SOP Writing (PRISMtv uploads/spotlight, Coming Soon)
Manage the Pass the Baton Mentor program
Maintain working knowledge of Office software products and related PRISM technology
Attend Committee meetings as assigned
Moderate travel which may include overnight stays
Perform other duties as assigned

First review of applications will be conducted on November 17th and the position will remain open until November 24th if additional applications are needed. The selection process may include testing and a one-way video interview. Tentative interviews are scheduled for December 10th and/or December 16th.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in administrative support, marketing or advertising
Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
Positive Attitude
Able to manage multiple projects
Understand department and objectives and have the desire to contribute
Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Basic understanding of design principles and visual communication (CANVA, Adobe Indesign & Publisher)
Some experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design preferred — but not required
Willingness to learn new tools, including AI-assisted design and content creation

The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field
at least 2 years of administrative experience in administrative support, marketing or advertising
Expert-level experience with MS Office Suite
at least 2 years' experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design
at least 2 years' experience using Canva, or Adobe Publisher or Indesign

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements of this position typically include:  reaching, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move. 

Travel Requirements:

Some travel may be required for meetings, trainings or events, which could include occasional overnight stays.

A driver's license is not required.
