SISC I self-administers this program with an in-house claims staff. We believe this is the most effective arrangement to assure both quality care to the injured worker and control over school district funds. SISC I focuses on using managed care through the use of our customized Medical Provider Network to treat the employee’s injuries promptly and appropriately. Our Program contains a select group of preferred providers in the areas of diagnostics, nurse case management, durable medical equipment and pharmacy benefit management to provide quality ancillary care at the lowest cost. We promote the use of pre-placement medical assessments, formal return to work programs and other proactive tools in controlling the cost of Workers’ Compensation benefits. Member districts have access to a bevy of training resources both online and in person by a dedicated Safety & Loss Control staff, to assist in keeping the frequency and severity of claims to a minimum.
