Minimum Qualifications A combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Additional experience, as outlined below, may be substituted for required education on a two-for-one-year basis. A typical combination includes: Education • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Public Administration, Engineering, Business, Accounting, in a related field; Master's Degree in a related field preferred Experience • Five years of relevant executive management-level experience administering programs and plans in the areas of safety, risk management, and/or asset management for a public agency Certifications/Licenses/Special Requirements • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job- related essential functions • Must have a Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP) Certificate from the Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) within two years of hire • Licensed Risk Manager preferred Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications (PQs) are used to identify relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) as determined by business necessity.
