Job Description
University of California, San Diego Risk Management Program is charged with managing/financing all claims filed against UC San Diego, implementing the UC Insurance Program on campus, and advising UC San Diego Department managers, staff and students on effective loss prevention strategies to reduce claims costs. The Risk Management Program is comprised of the Workers’ Compensation Program and the General Liability Program.
The University of California, San Diego Risk Management General Liability Program Risk Analyst 2 will work under general supervision of the Director of Risk Management. Responsibilities include case management of general liability and property claims. Provide analytic analysis to risk management programmatic activities, develop data to support insurance underwriting requests, and conduct education and training programs for faculty, students and staff. Use professional enterprise risk management concepts and apply organizational policies and procedures to resolve a variety of moderately complicated issues. Work on casualty, property, employee injury, and loss prevention programs and services where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
