Job Title: Business Development Associate

Job Description 

The position serves as a key individual within the Business Development Department and is primarily responsible in responding to Requests for Proposals and providing support to the Business Development Team with respect to sales and marketing. This position is available in our Glendale, CA facility. In this role you will:

Develop technical responses for prospects and clients seeking proposals for workers’ compensation services, liability claims services and managed care and ancillary services.

Provide direction to other proposal team members as well as internal partners in carrying out the activities necessary to generate and deliver proposals to prospects that reflect the strategy established for each opportunity.

Ensure that each prospect's needs are properly interpreted, understood and addressed in a manner that competitively positions Intercare and its subsidiary companies.

Work with sales, account management and executive team to develop specific marketing collaterals.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, applying knowledge and skills in a manner that allows the team to pursue wide ranging and challenging competitive bid opportunities.

Assist in scheduling tradeshow exhibits, sponsorships and other marketing activities. On occasion, may attend conferences to assist the marketing team at tradeshow exhibit halls.

Job Requirements 

A successful candidate will possess a mixture of workers’ compensation, managed care, liability insurance knowledge and familiarity with healthcare industry.

3+ years business technical writing experience in an insurance environment.

Proven results developing and supporting new business and customer relationships.

Strong organizational skills and project management capabilities

Proven success in administrative support.

Thorough knowledge of insurance claim handling and managed care services.

Experience in collaborating with different divisions and functions to effectively and diplomatically communicate with different division leaders and colleagues.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
