See’s Candy & California Assembly Bil 218 Presenter:    Hugh Spackman, Clinkenbeard, Ramsey, Spackman & Clark Description: Update on Ek v. See’s Candy. Can an employer be sued outside of Workers’ Compensation? Also, California Assembly Bill 18, California Child Victims Act.  As a result, California courts have now seen an influx of cases where the alleged abuse occurred decades ago.  Witnesses are deceased or elderly and many records may have been destroyed, which can adversely affect Counties, Cities, and School Districts.
