$105,480 - $122,088 Annually, Plus Excellent Benefits

The Risk Management Analyst is the lead journey-level in the East Bay Municipal Utility District’s (EBMUD’s) Management Analyst classification series. Reporting to the Risk Manager, this individual will perform difficult and complex administrative and operational systems analyses, including project management/coordination of liability claims and lawsuits, supervisory duties, primary oversight for contracts review, and management of subrogation claims, as assigned.
The most competitive candidates for this position will have previous experience in developing and managing risk management liability claims programs and operations; knowledge of relevant risk management policies, codes, and procedures; excellent oral and written communication skills; knowledge of health and safety requirements and regulations that impact EBMUD; and previous project management experience.
The salary range is $8,790 per month increasing to $9,229, $9,690, and $10,174 after 6, 18, and 30 months, respectively.
Requires a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, with major work in business or public administration, economics, finance, or a closely related field; <b>and</b> five years of progressively responsible professional experience in Risk Management and claims administration*. Ideally, experience with public entity liability and subrogation claims, as well as experience with contract review for insurance and indemnity requirements.
*A master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
